The Automotive & Cultural Vacation of a Lifetime!

These “Events” are a 5 Day “in-depth look” into the Myth and Mystique of Mercedes-Benz in Germany, combined with 2-4 Day Extension Plans to Sinsheim Auto & Technik, Porsche, BMW and Munich.  Tours like this are NOT available to the general public and do not exist...they are structured around the birthplace of the Automobile with mixed in cultural activities plus a big emphasis on the regional food and customs-you’ll NEVER forget this Auto Lover’s Dream and...it all starts in Stuttgart!

Join our Tour Group and let Douglas deBoard your "TourMeister" share with you some of his 21 years experience in the southern Germany area (over 64 times to the Mercedes Main Factory).  Journey with us through the lovely Stuttgart area as we go behind the curtain, so to speak, of the DaimlerChrysler Empire:

  • See the famous Mercedes-Benz Museum
  • The new M-B Engine Plant
  • The original Mercedes Store,
  • The Memorial to Daimler and Maybach
  • AMG and their "personalized cars,"
  • German DTM cars
  • Mercedes Classic Center in Fellbach and more!

We will even go out on a sightseeing trip into the Black Forest to visit Triberg and the home of hand-carved Cuckoo Clocks and the world's largest "Kukuck" Clock.  For you healthy ones, it's a hike up Germany's Highest Waterfall. On Saturday, everything is optional, e.g. Tour the city, go the Flea-Market downtown, visit the Wilhelma's Gardens and Zoo, walk through the Park to the New and Old State Art Gallery or shop on the Kilometer long Königstrasse with its Palace Square and delighful european outside cafes and restaurants.

Did I mention the food? Napolean's Grand Army left behind "some delicious French influences" on the local cuisine much of which you will taste. There's lots of regional foods on this tour combined with local wines and "bier"...no schnitzel and bratwurst here. TIP: You should lose at least 5 pounds before you join us in Stuttgart, I'm warning you in advance.

The 2-Day Extension Plan takes us to the Porsche Complex and their huge new Showroom. Ludwigsburg Palace, the fabulous world of Sinsheim Auto & Technik Museum and its over 3000 Exhibits of rare Autos, U-Boots, Soviet Aircraft, WW II Militaria, Trains,
Dance Organs and the world's largest permanent Formula 1 Exhibit follow. If time permits, it's stop-over at famous Hockenheimring.

Need yet another 2-Days?  The 9 day package is for you "Die-
Hards"!  How about the Frankfurt Auto Show or "Auto Mechanika" (Sept. Tour)?  Then with us by car across the Danube down to medieval Augsburg--the home of the Diesel Engine--one of the oldest cities in Germany, the Lutheran Church has it roots here. Later, it's on to the City with a Big Heart, Munich, for the BMW Factory, Delivery Center/Museum and the German Museum downtown - plus "Oktoberfest" on the September Tour. If time allows, we might even visit Germany's oldest Airfield in Oberschleissheim for you antique aircraft fans and the Palace grounds.

Our GAT German Auto Tours are typically small, numbering from 8 to 20, which gives us plenty of chance to be flexible should we have lots of sunshine. We may take the opportunity to take in an unscheduled Weinfest/Exhibition in the area, or a run up to the TV Tower for a panorama view of the region.

Considering Euro Delivery on a Mercedes, BMW or Porsche? If so, please give me a call so I can fill you in on all the details such as insurance, drop-off point, shipping, etc.
